I think the game could use some refinement. Add some menus, some context to the story. I think the car animation could use some work. Add an animation when the car moves left and when it moves right.

Thank you for you comment and review. I agree some back story or a tutorial if something we thought about but under the time constraints of the week project we had to cut certain aspects of the game. I future renditions if we revisit the game we will defiantly that story into consideration.
The game has some clever puzzles. I think there is no need for this game to be keyboard based. The control scheme should be redefined to use only the mouse.
I recommend.
Thanks! Yeah, that's probably true. I was just cutting corners by skipping A* pathfinding implementation.
I like the attention to detail. The well designed menus and the art direction. Some levels aren't ordered in difficulty. I think you should let some people try the levels randomly and decide the hardest in the order that it takes them to complete them.
I recommend.
Thank you for the feedback! I tried my best to adjust the difficulty curve, but yes, next time will playtest with other people to do this better.
Solid game. Nothing groundbraking but is quite solid in execution.
I recommend.
Thank you for the feedback! :)
This game is severely lacking in a number of departments. First lack of propoer sounds and music, they hardly fit with the theme of the game. Second, art itself is quite poor, maps are executed hastily without any care for detail, enemies aren't much more than just a stationary image, the graphic quality itself isn't homogeneus; it should be a single kind of art, yet there is no such thing. Also menus are incredibly hard to navigate, considering how everything works with a single button. This should be corrected.
I don't recommend this game.
I'm really lost for words on this one, mainly because pretty much everything you said equates to this game being ugly. I really don't see how the foods could NOT be a stationary image... In most games, you see people breathing, or having running animations, but what the heck is a running loop for a bowl of cereal supposed to look like? And how is the art style not homogeneous when everything is pixelated and food-themed?
I know I'm getting way too salty over these reviews but there's really nothing worse than getting a bad review from someone that won't spend more than five minutes on a game that took more than five months to make.
Controls are bad and unresponsive. You need to fix that. A game like this can not have that fault.
I don't recommend.
I agree. Platformers can't have bad controls. Sorry for the that. Thanks for the feedback.
Considering how hard it is to get the actual button, I think you have to make an effort and add more scenes to the failed button animation.
I had a steep deadline, I REALLY wanted to add more but time constraints wouldn't allow it.
The game has some future. I think the problem here is scope. Consider changing the game to an adventure game, add some special attacks and maybe a story. I don't think the upgrade game works for this, well you could add a whole lot of other improvements to the player character. Also, jumping, give me jumping.
Thanks for the feedback. It was actually aimed to be just a simple game. But I get what you're thinking. Thanks! :)
